The evolution of Tech Giants

 Bangalore: Tech companies have evolved over the years and every company has a journey to talk about. The journey could begin with paper products to world's largest phone makers, from groceries to electronic goods and from car radios to wireless devices manufacturer. If you see, there is no connectivity with what they started off at first and what they are currently dealing with. The journey of these companies is simply fascinating.Of course the transformation from one stage to another would be very interesting to know. For now here is the list of the tech giants and their actual origination.
Nokia Origin: The world's largest manufacturer of mobile phones, were the first pioneers in paper products which was started in 1865 and they later diversified into rubber boots in 1898. The used the fish logo. In 1912, the company made a debut in the ecltronics world with the name Finnish cable works. Their first electronic product to be produced was a radio telephone which was built together with Finnish television maker Salora.  Nokia Corporation, which is a multinational company, is a Finnish multinational communications corporation that is headquartered in Keilaniemi, Espoo. Nokia is engaged in the manufacturing of mobile devices and in converging Internet and communications industries, with over 132,000 employees in 120 countries, sales in more than 150 countries and global annual revenue of over '42 billion and operating profit of 2 billion Euros as of 2010. It is the world's largest manufacturer of mobile phones.
Samsung-Origin: In 1938, Lee Byung-chull of a large landowning family in the Uiryeong County came to the nearby Daegu city and founded Samsung Sanghoe, a small trading company with forty employees located in Su-dong. It dealt in groceries produced in and around the city and produced noodles itself. After the Korean War broke out, lee decided to come up with a woolen mill in the 1950s. It was the largest woolen mill ever in the country. In the 1960s Samsung further diversified in electronics in which it is the world leader now.
 The Samsung Group is a multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul, South Korea. The Samsung Group comprises has numerous international affiliated businesses, most of them united under the Samsung brand including Samsung Electronics, the world's largest technology company by sales, Samsung Heavy Industries, the world's second largest shipbuilder, Samsung Engineering, known for global constructions. Samsung Group is the sole monopoly dominating a single market its revenue as large as some countries' total GDP.
Nintendo Origin: Nintendo has its roots way back in 1187 when it made cards for the Japanese game Hanafuda. Starting from game cards, Nintendo tried its hand in many other divisions like opening a taxi company, establishing 'love hotels' and by trying to sell vacuum cleaners. It finally got into the video game business in the mid 1970s.
 The Nintendo Entertainment System is an 8-bit video game console that was released by Nintendo in North America during 1985, As the best-selling gaming console of its time. The NES helped revitalize the US video game industry following the video game crash of 1983, and set the standard for subsequent consoles of its generation.
Motorola-Origin: Motorola started in Chicago, Illinois as Galvin Manufacturing Corporation (at in 1928, with its first product being a battery eliminator, -- a device that let home radios run on electrical power rather than batteries. It purchased the patents to the automotive radio and acquired the rights to the trade with the name Motorola. Many of Motorola's products have been radio-related, starting with a battery eliminator for radios, through the first walkie-talkie in the world in 1940.
 Motorola, Inc. was an American-based, multinational, telecommunications company based in Schaumburg, Illinois, which was split into two independent public companies, Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions on January 4, 2011, after losing $4.3 billion from 2007 to 2009. Motorola designed and sold wireless network infrastructure equipment such as cellular transmission base stations and signal amplifiers. Motorola's home and broadcast network products included set-top boxes, digital video recorders, and network equipment used to enable video broadcasting, computer telephony, and high-definition television.
HP (Hewlett-Packard)-Origin: Dave Hewlett and Bill Packard started the tech revolution in their Menlo Park garage, but they didn't build computers -- they built various types of equipment for testing other tech gear. The company's first sale was 8 oscillators to Walt Disney in 1939. Disney used them to prepare movie theaters for a new kind of sound system used in Fantasia.
 Hewlett-Packard Company commonly referred to as HP, is an American multinational information technology corporation headquartered in Palo Alto, California, USA. HP however, is one of the world's largest information technology companies, operating in nearly every country. HP specializes in developing and manufacturing computing, data storage, and networking hardware, designing software and delivering services.
